The Stellar M22™ IPL Hair Removal treatment is a non-invasive procedure designed to reduce hair growth, leaving you with smooth, flawless skin. Utilizing advanced IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology, it targets the hair follicles, disrupting their ability to grow hair. This treatment is highly effective for black, brown, and red hair types.

Controlled pulses of light are directed at the treated area and absorbed by the hair follicles beneath the skin. The light heats the follicles, damaging their ability to regrow hair, all while leaving the surrounding tissue unharmed.

During Treatment, the pigment in the hair shaft absorbs the light energy emitted by the IPL device. This light is converted into heat as it travels down the hair, reaching the follicle beneath the skin's surface. The heat generated by this process causes damage to the follicle, specifically targeting the cells responsible for hair growth. As a result, the follicle's ability to regenerate hair is impaired, effectively reducing hair growth over time. This process is precise and focused, ensuring that the surrounding skin and tissue remain unharmed while only the hair follicles are affected.

Intense pulses of light are delivered through a lightguide, which is designed to focus the energy precisely onto the treatment area. This lightguide is equipped with integrated cooling technology, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout the procedure. The cooling mechanism helps to minimize any discomfort or irritation by cooling the skin’s surface as the light pulses are applied, making the treatment much more comfortable and tolerable. This combination of precise light delivery and cooling ensures effective results while prioritizing patient comfort during each session.

The Stellar M22™ IPL Hair Removal treatment is typically performed over a series of 4-6 sessions, offering impressive long-term results. Noticeable hair reduction can often be seen after the first session.

Before the procedure, your clinician will shave the hair in the treatment area and apply a cold gel. As the light pulses are delivered, you may feel a mild stinging or warm sensation. Once the treatment is complete, the gel is removed, along with much of the hair. The remaining hair in the treated area will shed over the following week or two.

Following the treatment, you may notice some mild redness or swelling in the treated area. This is a good sign, as it means the hair follicles are responding to the treatment. You can return to your regular activities immediately. However, your provider may advise you to avoid direct sun exposure for a few weeks and to use sunscreen to protect your skin.

Stellar M22™ treatments may not be suitable for everyone and could carry some risks. IPL hair removal is not recommended for individuals with active infections, viral, fungal, or bacterial conditions, inflammatory skin disorders, or skin cancer. Potential risks include redness, swelling, scarring, or changes in pigmentation. It’s important to consult with your treatment provider to determine if this treatment is right for you.
