Laser or IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technologies work by penetrating the deeper layers of the skin and targeting the blood vessels. The light energy is absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood, which then heats up the blood inside the vessels. This process causes the blood to coagulate, or clot, effectively sealing off the vessel. Over time, the body naturally absorbs the treated vessel, causing it to fade and disappear. This method is highly effective for treating various vascular conditions like spider veins, reticular veins, and broken capillaries.The SapphireCool™ lightguides cool the skin during treatment.

Before the treatment, your physician will apply a thin layer of clear gel to the area being treated. During the procedure, your physician will target the veins by delivering a few pulses to each blood vessel. The treatment typically lasts between 10-20 minutes, depending on the number of vessels being treated. You may feel a stinging or burning sensation during the process, but it is generally tolerable.

Immediately after treatment, the treated vessels may appear darker, and you may experience slight redness and swelling along the vein. It’s recommended to avoid hot baths and strenuous physical activity for 1-2 weeks post-treatment. However, you can resume your usual activities right away.

In many cases, you'll notice improvement right after the treatment. Full clearance of the veins may take a few weeks as they gradually fade. If multiple veins are treated, you may need 2-3 sessions spaced 6-8 weeks apart for optimal results.

Stellar M22™ treatments may not be suitable for everyone and could carry some risks. They are not recommended for individuals with active infections, viral, fungal, or bacterial conditions, inflammatory skin disorders, or skin cancer.
